STEEL Collection | Bypass Pruning Shears — Walnut Handle, Hardened Steel Garden Pruners with Safety Lock
Bypass Pruning Shears
A clean cut, every time. Bypass blades of hardened steel, walnut grips shaped to the hand, and a spring that remembers to open.
The Clean Cut
These pruners use a bypass mechanism — one curved blade slices past a hooked anvil, the way scissors cut through paper. The result is a clean, precise cut that seals the stem rather than crushing it, so plants heal faster and disease has nowhere to settle.
The blade is ground from hardened steel, thin enough to slice through a rose stem but thick enough to take on a hardwood branch up to three quarters of an inch. The handles are turned from solid walnut, each one shaped to fill the palm and curve with the fingers. A coiled spring sits between the handles, pushing them open after every squeeze so your hand never has to do the work twice.
A simple sliding lock secures the shears closed when not in use — no fumbling, no buttons, just a quiet click. The lock is the only piece that moves beyond the blades and spring. Everything else is fixed, solid, and built to outlast the gardener who uses it.
