STEEL Collection | Cast Iron Soil Scoop — Walnut Handle, Deep Bowl Forged Garden Scoop for Potting & Repotting
Cast Iron Soil Scoop
A deep bowl of iron, a grip of walnut. For moving soil without spilling it — from bag to pot, from pile to bed.
The Deep Bowl
Where a trowel is flat and meant for digging, the scoop is deep and meant for carrying. The bowl is cast as one piece of iron, its sides rising high enough that a full load of soil stays put when you move from the bag to the pot. No spilling. No chasing dry peat across the workbench.
The interior is ground smooth — not polished to a mirror, but finished so that damp soil releases cleanly instead of clinging. The rim is rounded over, so the edge feels good against the palm when you tip the scoop to pour. From the bowl, a narrow neck flows back into a walnut handle shaped to swell at the grip and taper toward the fingers.
It is the tool you reach for when repotting, when top-dressing a bed, when mixing a batch of seed-starting mix. The trowel digs. The scoop moves.
